I’m Angela Mikaela, a Filipino-American designer from Houston, TX that specializes in visual communication through a fun and childlike lens. As a first generation Filipino-American, I focus on uplifting and enhancing experiences, primarily through exploring the connection of food and people.

By incorporating visual graphics and illustrations, my work aims to emphasize and convey information through a combination of visuals and text. Through various opportunities and personal projects, I have developed an understanding in branding identity, design principles, copywriting and developing promotional and informational graphics.

I am confident working in programs such as, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe inDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Blender and Canva. I have worked with 2D and 3D illustrating and designing, video editing, voice overing, animating, social media copywriting, and basic coding (HTML and CSS).

In my personal life, despite my love for food and its reflection in my work, I have an extreme disdain for peas and any mushroom that isn't enoki. Outside of design, I enjoy watching movies, reading comics, cooking, artmaking and spending time with my loved ones.
